Song Joong-ki is a South Korean actor born on September 19, 1985, in Daejeon, South Korea. He rose to fame in the historical drama Sungkyunkwan Scandal and the variety show Running Man. Song played his first TV leading role in the melodrama The Innocent Man and starred in the feature film A Werewolf Boy. He took on the lead role in the pan-Asia hit drama Descendants of the Sun, which established him as a top Hallyu star. Song has appeared in numerous other projects, with a total of 49 known credits. He is known for his acting skills and has become a prominent figure in the South Korean entertainment industry.
