Sofia Boutella is an Algerian dancer, model, and actress born on April 3, 1982, in the Bab El Oued district of Algiers. She is the daughter of an architect mother and a jazz musician father. At the age of 10, she emigrated to Paris. Boutella began classical dance training at age five and later pursued rhythmic gymnastics, eventually joining the French national team at the age of 18. Recognized primarily for her expertise in hip-hop and street dance, she gained early professional visibility through her appearances in advertising campaigns for Nike Women. She maintains a career spanning international film and television projects.
