Simon John Charles Le Bon is a British singer born on October 27, 1958, in Bushey, Hertfordshire, England, UK. From a young age, he was a member of the local church choir and received training as an actor. In 1980, he auditioned to join the pop group Duran Duran, where he became the lead vocalist and lyricist. He also performed with the Duran Duran offshoot Arcadia. Duran Duran became one of the biggest music acts of the decade worldwide, selling millions of records and placing hits such as Rio, Girls on Film, The Reflex, Hungry like the Wolf, and The Wild Boys onto the UK charts. In 1985, the band produced the theme song for the James Bond film A View to a Kill.
