Shahab Hosseini is a male director and actor of theater, television, and cinema. He was born in Tehran, Iran, on February 4, 1974. He started his professional career by playing in Amir Ghavidel's Rokhsareh. He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in the Fajr Festival for two consecutive years for A Candle in The Wind by Pouran Derakhshandeh and Salvation in Twenty minutes after Eight by Sirous Alvand. He subsequently won the Best Actor Award for the Fajr Festival for The Superstar by Tahmineh Milani. He won an Honorary Diploma of Best Supporting Actor in 2008 in Asghar Farhadi's movie About Elly, and also won the Best Actor Award at the Berlin Film Festival for the movie A Separation by Asghar Farhadi.
