Sara Gilbert is an American actress born on January 29, 1975. She is best known for her portrayal of the character Darlene Conner-Healy in the United States sitcom Roseanne, a role she held from 1988 until 1997. In addition to her acting career, Gilbert is a television creator and host. She created the daytime series The Talk, which premiered on October 18, 2010. She currently co-hosts the program alongside four other women. The show focuses on discussions regarding contemporary issues, motherhood, and various controversial topics.
