Biography
Salvador del Solar (born in Lima in 1970) is a Peruvian actor, director, and lawyer. After graduating with a law degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru and studying at Alberto Ísola's workshop, he rose to international fame starring in the acclaimed film Pantaleón y las visitadoras (1999). Expanding his career, he wrote and directed the film Magallanes (2015), establishing himself as a prominent filmmaker. He has also been involved in Peruvian politics, serving as Minister of Culture (2017) and President of the Council of Ministers (2019).
