Alfred Ryder, born Alfred Jacob Corn on January 5, 1916, in New York City, was an American actor and director who worked in television, film, radio, and theater. He appeared in over one hundred television shows and was also active on Broadway. Ryder retired from screen acting in 1976 to focus on stage work. He directed and acted in various productions until his death on April 16, 1995, in Englewood, New Jersey. He was married to actress Kim Stanley from 1957 to 1964, and they had a child together. His brother was actor Olive Deering. Ryder's career spanned several decades, establishing him as a respected figure in American entertainment.
