Robert Guy Bathurst is an English actor born on February 22, 1957, in the Gold Coast, where his father worked as a management consultant. In 1959, his family relocated to Dublin, Ireland, where he attended an Anglican boarding school. The family moved to England in 1966, leading Bathurst to transfer to another boarding school where he began participating in amateur dramatics. At eighteen, he studied law at the University of Cambridge and became a member of the Cambridge Footlights group. Following his graduation, he pursued acting full-time and made his professional stage debut in 1983 as Tim Allgood in Michael Frayn's Noises Off. Known for his acting work, Bathurst has accumulated seventy-one known credits in the film and television industry.
