Rishi Raj Kapoor was an Indian actor, film director, and producer who worked in Hindi films. Born on September 4, 1952, in Bombay, Maharashtra, India, his career spanned 50 years. He was a member of the Kapoor family. As an adolescent, he debuted in his father Raj Kapoor's film Mera Naam Joker in 1970, earning the National Film Award for Best Child Artist. His first adult lead role was opposite Dimple Kapadia in the 1973 teen romance Bobby, which earned him the Filmfare Award for Best Actor. Between 1973 and 2000, he starred as the romantic lead in 92 films, with notable titles including Khel Khel Mein in 1975 and Kabhi Kabhie in 1976. He passed away on April 30, 2020.
