Biography
Richard Quine was an American stage, film, and radio actor and film director born in Detroit, Michigan on November 12, 1920. He died on June 10, 1989. Quine made his Broadway debut in the Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein II musical Very Warm for May in 1939 and appeared in My Sister Eileen the following year. His screen acting credits include The World Moves On, Jane Eyre, Babes on Broadway, My Sister Eileen, and Words and Music. While at MGM, he befriended Mickey Rooney and later directed several of his films. During World War II, Quine served in the United States Coast Guard. He was married to actress Susan Peters, Barbara Bushman, and actress Fran Jeffries.

His later marriages were to Barbara Bushman, a granddaughter of actor Francis X. Bushman, from 1951 to 1960, and to actress Fran Jeffries from 1965 to 1970. Quine passed away on June 10, 1989.
