Peter Brook was an English theatre and film director. He worked at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre from 1945, the Royal Opera House from 1947, and the Royal Shakespeare Company from 1962. Brook directed the first English-language production of Marat/Sade in 1964, which was transferred to Broadway in 1965. He also directed the iconic version of Lord of the Flies in 1963.
