She was the daughter of industrialist Henry Auffray and musician Amyelle de Caubios d'Andiran. Audret was most active as an actress from the 1950s through the 1960s, starring in over 25 films between 1955 and 1968. Her career in film, television, stage, and music remained based in France without crossing over internationally. Among her high-profile projects was the 1961 film La Fayette, in which she starred opposite Orson Welles, followed the next year by Give Me Ten Desperate Men, which was entered into the 12th Berlin International Film Festival.
