Her father, Francisco Lazareno, worked as an opera and popular music singer and a singing teacher, and her acting studies took place at the A.N.D.A. school. Norma Lazareno began her film career in the 1950s at the age of 11 in the movie Maldita Ciudad during the final stage of the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. Four years later, she made her television debut on the program Variedades de Mediodia, performing alongside Héctor Lechuga, Manuel Valdés, and Leonorilda Ochoa. She has also won the Diosas de Plata award and has known credits in acting.
