Nathalie Marie Andrée Baye was a French film, television, and stage actress born on July 6, 1948, in Mainneville, Eure, Normandy, to painters Claude Baye and Denise Coustet. At the age of fourteen, she joined a dance school in Monaco, and three years later she went to the Un. Baye began her career in 1970 and appeared in more than 80 films and 142 known acting credits. She was a ten-time César Award nominee, securing four wins for Every Man for Himself, Strange Affair, La Balance, and The Young Lieutenant. Her film credits also include Day for Night, Catch Me If You Can, Tell No One, and The Assistant. In 2009, she was appointed a Chevalier of the Legion of Honour. She passed away on April 17, 2026.
