Morton Selten was a British stage and film actor who was born on January 6, 1860, in Marlborough, England, United Kingdom, and died on July 27, 1939. He was occasionally credited under the name Morton Selton. Born with the name Morton Richard Stubbs and claimed as the son of Morton Stubbs, it was generally acknowledged that he was an illegitimate son of the then Prince of Wales, who later became King Edward VII.

Selten began his acting career on the stage in 1878, working mainly in America. In 1889, he appeared at the Lyceum Theatre playing Clarence Vane in Mrs. Hargrove's Our Flat and Captain Heartsease in Bronson Howard's American Civil War epic, Shenandoah. Over the following three decades, he went on to play in some twenty-five Broadway productions.
