Biography
Mieko Harada is a Japanese actress born on December 26, 1958, in Tokyo. She has played various roles in many motion pictures, television shows, and television dramas since her debut in 1974. Harada is known for her work in films such as Ran and Dreams, both directed by Akira Kurosawa. She also provided the voice for Kaguya in the anime film InuYasha the Movie: The Castle Beyond the Looking Glass. Harada has won awards for best actress, including at the Hochi Film Award for Village of Dreams and Begging for Love. She is married to Ryô Ishibashi and they have two children.
