He also appeared as a villain in the television series Auf Wiedersehen Pet. Angelis is perhaps best known for narrating the British Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends series, which he began in 1991, taking over from Ringo Starr. He was a prolific actor with 93 known credits. Angelis passed away on May 30, 2020, at the age of 76.
