Maya Forbes is an American screenwriter and television producer who was born on July 23, 1968, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She is the daughter of Peggy and Donald Cameron Forbes. Forbes made her debut as a film director with the 2014 film Infinitely Polar Bear. Her additional writing credits include the screenplay for the 2008 film The Rocker and numerous episodes of The Larry Sanders Show. During her career on television, she served as a co-executive producer of The Larry Sanders Show in its later seasons and as an executive producer of the sitcom The Naked Truth. For her work on The Larry Sanders Show, Forbes received Emmy and Writers Guild of America Award nominations.
