Matthew Richard Matt Stone was born on May 26, 1971, in Houston, Texas. He is an American screenwriter, producer, voice artist, musician, and actor. He is best known as the co-creator of the animated television series South Park, a project he created with his creative partner and friend Trey Parker. Stone began his film career in 1992 by creating a holiday short titled Jesus vs. Frosty. His first success followed with the project Cannibal! The Musical. He subsequently created another short titled Jesus vs. Santa, which led to the creation of South Park. Throughout his career, Stone has earned known credits in acting and has been recognized with four Emmy Awards for his work on South Park.
