Masami Nagasawa (長澤まさみ) is a Japanese actress represented by Toho Entertainment. Born on June 3, 1987 in Iwata, Shizuoka, Japan, she graduated from Horikoshi High School in 2006. Nagasawa has appeared in a range of well‑known films and television dramas, including Crying Out Love in the Center of the World, Nada Sousou, Dragon Zakura and Proposal Daisakusen, accumulating over one hundred twenty credited roles. She is often referred to by the nicknames “Ma‑chan,” “Maa‑tan” (as used by Tomohisa Yamashita), and “Gasawa,” a name she uses on her radio program. Her father is Kazuaki Nagasawa, former manager of the J.League club Júbilo Iwata.
