Mary Birdsong, also known as Mary Songbird, is an actress born on April 18, 1968, in Long Beach Island, New Jersey. Her family hails from Louisiana. She is a graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting and received the Stella Adler Award for Outstanding Achievement in Acting. She was also awarded an honorary Master of Fine Arts degree in acting from the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco. Birdsong made her Broadway debut in the 2006 production Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me, earning a Theatre World Award. On screen, she starred as rookie cop Deputy Kimball on the Comedy Central series Reno 911 and in the Fox feature film Reno 911: Miami.
