She rose to prominence for her leading role as high school student Devi Vishwakumar in the Netflix teen comedy series Never Have I Ever, which ran from 2020 to 2023. In addition to her television work, she provided voice roles in the Pixar film Turning Red in 2022. Her voice acting career also includes work in the animated series My Little Pony: Make Your Mark from 2022 to 2023 and My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale from 2022 to 2024.
