Maite Perroni Beorlegui was born on 9 March 1983 in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico. She is a Mexican actress, singer, songwriter and producer whose acting career began in 2004. Perroni first achieved international recognition that year by starring in the youth telenovela Rebelde, a series that also gave rise to the pop‑rock group RBD, which received a Latin Grammy nomination. Since then she has appeared in numerous television series, and in 2009 Univision called her “The New Queen of Telenovelas.” Her performance in Antes muerta que Lichita earned her the 2016 Premios TVyNovelas award for Best Actress. She later starred in the Netflix series Dark Desire and portrayed triplets in Triada, and she has also lent her voice to the Huevos franchise.
