Maika Monroe is an American actress born Dillon Monroe Buckley on May 29, 1993, in Santa Barbara, California. She made her film debut in the 2012 drama At Any Price. She established herself as a scream queen by leading the 2014 thriller The Guest and the 2014 horror film It Follows. Her subsequent film credits include the action movie Independence Day: Resurgence in 2016, the neo-noir film Hot Summer Nights in 2017, and the thrillers Greta in 2018 and Watcher in 2022. She also starred in the black comedy Villains in 2019, the action film God Is a Bullet in 2023, and the horror film Longlegs in 2024.
