Lung Sihung was a male actor born on December 23, 1930, in Suqian, Jiangsu, China. He enlisted in Chiang Kai-shek's army as a teenager to fight the Chinese Communist Party. After they seized control of mainland China, he escaped to Taiwan, where he was selected to join an army-sponsored acting troupe. Lung Sihung appeared in over 100 films, frequently collaborating with director Ang Lee in the later years of his career. He is known for playing paternal roles in films such as The Wedding Banquet and Eat Drink Man Woman. Lung Sihung passed away on May 2, 2002, at the age of 71.
