Liu Peiqi is a Chinese male actor born on 1 January 1958 in Beijing, China. He began his artistic training in 1979 when he entered the Military Art School, and in 1983 he joined the Military Drama Group in Xinjiang Province. His film debut came in 1985 with the movie Father and Son, directed by Wang Bingling. After moving to the Beijing Military Drama Group and later the China National Drama Group, Liu starred in Days Without Leifeng, directed by Lei Xianhe, a performance that earned him the Golden Rooster Award for Best Actor and the Outstanding Film Award for Best Performance in a Male Leading Role from the Chinese Ministry of Radio, Film and Television. His career includes over one hundred credited roles in film and television.
