Born on March 20, 1970, in Los Angeles, California, she is best known for providing the speaking voice of Princess Jasmine in Disney's 1992 animated feature film Aladdin. In addition to the original movie, she has voiced the character in various Aladdin sequels and spin-offs, as well as in the Kingdom Hearts video game series. To secure the role of Princess Jasmine, she was required to lower her voice because Disney stated that her natural voice was too high for the character.
