She is best remembered for playing the role of Nova alongside co-star Charlton Heston in Planet of the Apes and Beneath the Planet of the Apes. Following appearances in many films, she made a cameo in the 2001 film version of Planet of the Apes directed by Tim Burton. She retired from acting for family reasons before returning to co-star in the 2018 film Midnight Massacre, which is a modern-day version of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar directed by Travis Bowen.
