Lewis Milestone was a Russian-American motion picture director. Born Lev Milstein on September 30, 1895, he is known for directing several films, including Two Arabian Knights, All Quiet on the Western Front, The Front Page, The General Died at Dawn, Of Mice and Men, Ocean's Eleven, and Mutiny on the Bounty. Milestone's career spanned multiple genres, from silent films to musicals and dramas. He was active during the Golden Age of Hollywood and directed a total of 64 films. Milestone passed away on September 25, 1980, at the age of 84.
