He began his career as one of the five members of 5urprise, a unique acting group composed of five actors who started as actors before branching into singing. At the age of 18 in 2013, he made his acting debut alongside his fellow group members in the mobile drama series After School: Lucky or Not. He has since appeared in several television dramas, including Splendid Politics in 2015, Please Come Back, Mister in 2016, W in 2016, Father, I will Take Care of You from 2016 to 2017, and My Golden Life from 2017 to 2018.
