Laeta Elizabeth Kalogridis is an American screenwriter and television and film producer. She is a graduate of Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina, and the University of Texas at Austin, and she also attended the film school at UCLA.
She has written scripts for films including Alexander, released in 2004, Night Watch, released in the United States in 2006, Pathfinder in 2007, and Shutter Island in 2010. Additionally, she served as an executive producer for the television series Birds of Prey and Bionic Woman.
Beyond her writing and producing work, Kalogridis founded the pro-union website Hollywood United and participated as a peacemaker during the 2007 through 2008 Writers Guild of America strike.
