Kristin Laura Kreuk is a Canadian actress born on December 30, 1982, in Vancouver, British Columbia. She is the daughter of Peter Kreuk and Deanna Che and attended Eric Hamber Secondary School. Kreuk began her acting career on the teen drama Edgemont. She gained prominence for her portrayal of Lana Lang in the superhero television series Smallville, which aired from 2001 to 2009. Her other notable television work includes the role of Catherine Chandler in the series Beauty and the Beast from 2012 to 2016. Additionally, Kreuk has appeared in feature films such as Eurotrip and Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li. She has a sister named Justine Kreuk.
