Kimiko Ikegami is a Japanese actress born on January 16, 1959, in Manhattan, New York City. She moved to Kyoto at the age of three. She graduated from Horikoshi High School in Nakano, Tokyo, and subsequently attended Tamagawa University. Ikegami is closely related to the Bando Mitsugoro kabuki actors, with her grandfather serving as the eighth, her uncle as the ninth, and her cousin as the tenth to take that name. Encouraged by her cousin, she pursued acting. Ikegami is best known for playing the lead role of Gorgeous in the 1977 film House. Her known film credits include appearances in Taiyo o nusunda otoko, Gejsha, and Hana no ran.
