Kazumi Kawai was a Japanese actress born on July 9, 1964, in Tokyo. She initially gained prominence as a gravure idol, becoming popular enough to warrant a dedicated weekly feature in a magazine. Building on this recognition, she transitioned into acting in 1983 with a supporting role in a miniseries broadcast on TV Tokyo. Her filmography includes appearances in Lusty Discipline in Uniform in 1982, Headphone Lullaby in 1983, and Sayonara konnichiwa in 1990. Kawai remained active in the entertainment industry until her death on May 9, 1997, in Tokyo, at the age of 32.
