Kate Williams is a British actress born on 1 January 1941 in London, England. She is recognised for her work in television and film, notably the 1970s sitcom Love Thy Neighbour, the Lynda La Plante series Widows, Widows 2 and She’s Out—where she and Ann Mitchell were the only cast members to appear in all three installments—and the 1990s sitcom May to December. Her film credits include Poor Cow, Melody and Quadrophenia. Williams has made guest appearances on Dixon of Dock Green, On the Buses, Please Sir!, Minder, The Gentle Touch, Just Good Friends, C.A.T.S. Eyes, Only Fools and Horses, Murder Most Horrid, Lovejoy, Doctor At Large, Born and Bred and The Bill, and held regular roles in the soaps Family Affairs and EastEnders. She now works as a teacher and director.
