Biography
Karen Hassan is an actress born in July 1981 in Belfast, Northern Ireland. One of five sisters, she studied drama at Queens University in Belfast after developing an interest in acting during her youth. Before establishing herself professionally, she appeared in various film and television roles, primarily in minor capacities. In 2008, she began portraying the character Lynsey Nolan in the first series of Hollyoaks Later. In June 2010, it was announced that Hassan would join the cast of Hollyoaks as a regular character, continuing her role as Lynsey. Her first episode in this capacity aired on 11 August. She has noted that she was a quiet individual while growing up.
