Kaoru Yachigusa
Biography
Kaoru Yachigusa was a Japanese actress born in Osaka Prefecture on January 6, 1931. She was a member of the Takarazuka Revue from 1947 until 1957. Following her departure from the revue, she maintained a career in film, television, and narration. Throughout her professional life, she received several Japanese honors and awards, including the Medal with Purple Ribbon in 1997, the Order of the Rising Sun, 4th Class, Gold Rays with Rosette in 2003, and the Tanaka Kinuyo Prize at the Mainichi Film Awards in 2004. Kaoru Yachigusa died on October 24, 2019, at a Tokyo hospital. Her death was caused by pancreatic cancer, and she was 88 years old at the time of her passing.
