John Waters is an Australian actor born in London, England. He is the middle child of five children to Scottish actor Russell Waters. As a child, John often visited film studios while his father worked and appeared in a few young parts. He began his career as a singer and bass player with a 1960s R & R band, The Riots, and later appeared in a stage production of Macbeth. Waters moved to Australia in 1968 and secured a small role in a US film, Adam's Woman, which was being filmed in New South Wales.
