Biography
John Stockwell is an American actor, director, producer, writer, and former model. Born John Stockwell Samuels the fourth on March 25, 1961, in Galveston, Texas, he is the son of an attorney. He began his career as an international model before transitioning to acting in film and television. His first feature film role as an actor was in the 1981 film So Fine. His other film appearances include playing Spider in the 1983 comedy Losin' It, Dennis Guilder in the John Carpenter horror movie Christine later that year, Michael Harlan in the 1985 comedy My Science Project, and Cougar in the 1986 film Top Gun. He also made guest appearances on television shows such as The Young Riders and Friday the 13th: The Series.
