Joe Cheng is a Taiwanese model, actor, and singer who was born on June 19, 1982, in Taipei, Taiwan. Although he began his career as a model, he became well known for his acting role as Jiang Zhishu in the Taiwanese drama serial version of the Japanese manga Itazura Na Kiss, titled It Started with a Kiss. Through his acting, he has gained recognition in Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, the Philippines, and Japan. In addition to acting, Cheng released his debut EP, titled Sing a Song, in October 2009. The title of the EP and its title track serve as a play on the third word in his name, Chang, which is a homophone of the Chinese word for sing.
