Schropp studied at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, founded by Paul McCartney. He has worked as a small actor, extra, and in advertising. His first major role was in the evening series Sternenfänger, where he appeared alongside other actors. Schropp has also hosted the Love Parade for RTL II in 2000.
