He made his television debut in 1990 as Alex Hartman in the sci-fi drama Jupiter Moon. Durr is best known for his role as Mike Bradley in the Yorkshire-based police drama series Heartbeat, in which he starred from 1997 until 2003. He is also known for his role beginning in 2016 as Staff Nurse David Hide in the BBC hospital drama series Casualty.
