Jared Francis Harris is a British actor born on August 24, 1961, in Hammersmith, London, England. He is the son of the late Irish actor Richard Harris and Welsh actress Elizabeth Rees-Williams. He studied drama and literature at Duke University in North Carolina before training at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London. Active in film, television, and theater, Harris made his film debut in 1989 with a small role in The Rachel Papers.
