Jakub Gierszał is a Polish actor born on March 20, 1988, in Kraków, Poland. His father, Marek, is a theatre director working mainly in Germany. When Gierszał was a few months old, his parents moved to Hamburg, and after eleven years he returned to Poland, settling in Toruń. He is a student at the Kraków Academy of Dramatic Arts. Gierszał made his screen debut in 2009 playing the role of Kazik in the film All that I love, also known by its Polish title Wszystko, co kocham. He subsequently starred in the film Suicide Room, or Sala Samobójców in Polish, portraying Dominik, a high school student from a wealthy family who developed a mental health problem.
