Jacob Derwig is a Dutch film and television actor born on July 15, 1969, in The Hague, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands. He studied theatre science at Utrecht University before attending the Toneelschool Arnhem, graduating in 1994. Before joining the Dutch theatre company Toneelgroep Amsterdam in 2005, he performed with 't Barre Land and De Trust, where he played the title role in Hamlet, earning a nomination for a Louis d'Or. With Toneelgroep Amsterdam, he received nominations for an Arlecchino in 2006 for Opening Night and a Louis d'Or in 2008 for Naar Damascus. In 2008, he was awarded the Paul Steenbergen-penning by Pierre Bokma. He married actress Kim van Kooten in 2003, and they have a son named Roman and a daughter named Kee Molly.

Jacob Derwig is a Dutch film and television actor born in The Hague, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands, on July 15, 1969. He studied theater science at the Universiteit Utrecht for a time before leaving to attend the Toneelschool Arnhem, completing his studies at the theaterschool in 1994.

Before joining the ensemble of the Dutch theatre company Toneelgroep Amsterdam in 2005, Derwig performed with the groups 't Barre Land and De Trust. During his time with these companies, his work included playing the title role in an acclaimed production of Hamlet, which earned him a nomination for a Louis d'Or. Later, his performances with Toneelgroep Amsterdam brought further recognition, including a nomination for an Arlecchino in 2006 for Opening Night and a nomination for a Louis d'Or in 2008 for his part in the production Naar Damascus. In 2008, he also received the Paul Steenbergen-penning from Pierre Bokma.
