Ivan Urgant is a Russian actor and television presenter. He achieved recognition as a film actor through his appearances in the popular comedy series Yolki, its sequel Yolki 2 and the third installment Yolki 3, which are noted in his filmography. From 2012 until early February 2022 he was the host of Večerní Urgant, described as the most watched Russian‑language talk show; the program was suspended in February 2022 after Urgant posted a black square and the message “Strach a bolest.” In addition to his acting work, he revived a singing career in 2011 under the stage name “Grisha Urgant” and authored lyrics for the song “Иди за звёздами.”
