Indro, also known by the stage name Indro Warkop and alternative name Indrodjojo Ku, was born in Jakarta, Indonesia, on May 8, 1958. He received his education at the Faculty of Economics at UI. He joined Warkop to fill a vacant position when Rudi Badil resigned. The initial formation of Warkop consisted of Dono, Kasino, Indro, and the deceased Nanu. The trio, composed of scholars, later adopted the new name Warkop DKI. In July 1993, Warkop received an award from GPBSI because their films were consistently in demand for five years between 1989 and 1993. Due to lethargy in the national film industry, the group transitioned to a soap opera titled Warkop DKI in 1995. Indro also served as chairman of the Harley Davidson Club Indonesia.
