Huang Qiuyan

Biography

Huang Qiuyan is a Chinese actress and former martial artist. She was trained in China's national martial arts team along with future action star Jet Li. Huang appeared in two films between 1985 and 1986, both involving the Shaolin Temple. She was later married to Jet Li in 1987, but they divorced in 1990. Huang's parents are literary and art workers, with her mother being a dance teacher at the National Song and Dance Theater and her father being a choreographer in the Beijing Military Region Art Troupe.
