Biography

Honoka Matsumoto is an actress from Osaka who has gained significant recognition in the Japanese entertainment industry. She rose to prominence following her appearance in the NHK morning drama Hiyokko. In 2018, Matsumoto received further acclaim when she was selected as one of Vogue Japan's Women of the Year. Her career trajectory continued to ascend that same year when she was cast in the female lead role for the live-action television adaptation of the wartime anime series In This Corner of the World, also known as Kono Sekai no Katasumi Ni. As a result of these projects, Matsumoto has established herself as an actress in high demand within the television and film landscape.
