Ghita Nørby is a Danish actress born in Copenhagen, Denmark, on January 11 or 12, 1935. She is the daughter of opera singer Einar Nørby and pianist Guldborg Laursen. She studied for two years at the Danish Royal Theatre and debuted there in 1954. With numerous film credits spanning from 1956 to 2005, she is recognized as one of the most active Danish actresses ever. Nørby was nominated for Best Actress at the 27th Guldbagge Awards for her role in Freud's Leaving Home and received the Ingenio et Arti medal in 2006. She has been married multiple times, including to architect Mogens Garth-Grüner, actor Henrik Wiehe, and Italian pop singer and actor Dario Campeotto, with whom she had a son, actor Giacomo Campeotto.
